    Backstory:
I think Sam had the hook, Younger and Wiser, and brought in the melody. The three of us tapped into our late teen years and came up with this song.

    Lyrics:

Younger and Wiser John Cirillo (ASCAP)/Sam Gyllenhaal (BMI)/Sarah Spencer (ASCAP) It was always Friday night somewhere Curfew’s made to be broken Fake IDs, a case of cheap beer Roll up something and we’ll smoke it We could learn a thing or two From 17 me and you When we didn't know better Lived pedal to the medal on fire No fear of high flying Live wires, every night we burned brighter Every double dare was always worth the risk, We had nothing to lose and everything to give Gasoline looking for a lighter Back when we were younger and wiser Backseat Romeos and Juliets Fogging up all the windows First time feeling, foolish kids, Too damn smart to just take it slow Some mem’ries you don’t outgrow Oh it wasn’t so long ago Chorus All made perfect sense back then I could use more of who I was back when © 2020 john.cirillo@gmail.com/831.359.0161
