Backstory:

This song has three movements. It starts out slow and simple a bulids in intensity. It has parts for six voices and features blacks, whites, men and women. It is inspired by a scene from the movie The Color Purple. It was commissioned by a group called Healing Racism and used at one of their annual galas.
