I wrote this piece for my daughter's senior choir concert/slide show

Fields of Yellow, Fields of Green
Bright bouquets of little dreams
Crayon colors, laughter bright
Lifted as an offering

And they grow though time were theirs to borrow
Shining sweet reflections of the sun
Spreading joy in whispers of tomorrow
Drinking deeply of a life begun

Fields of Feathers, Fields of White
Fingers touch an autumn sky
Gentle breezes shake their hold
Barely time to say goodbye

And they float on breezes of a promise
Lifted high on love and life and dreams
Some will travel  far beyond impossible
Others falling gently by the streams
